Canadian Wilderness Walkabouts - Excursions

Canadian Wilderness Walkabouts takes guests on guided excursions off the beaten path for an authentic experience in the boreal forest. We offer everything from short day tours to all-inclusive multi-day tours. Please visit the website for more details.

Travel over a fresh blanket of snow on frozen waterways and to scenic overlooks of fault valleys. Enjoy lunch by a campfire. For multi-day excursions, we offer a variety of activities, just choose your favourites, including: moonlight snowshoe, basic navigation skills, introduction to the art of prospecting, winter camping in a prospector tent, a tour of the amazing little town of Atikokan including the XY Company where custom hand-made paddles are made and Souris River Canoes where the Kevlar canoe factory is based!

Guests will be provided with a fully-guided experience including snowshoes and lunch/or snack (depending on duration of excursion chosen). We also cater to cross-country skiers, snowmobilers and other adventurers-just ask about customizing your trip! Guests will enjoy relaxing in the warmth of the beautiful loghome when booking multi-day adventures.

We are a 20 minute drive from Quetico Provincial Park's Dawson Trail entrance.  A day use pass will be provided for guests' enjoyment of the beautiful trail system in Quetico.
