Eco-Friendly Notes

The Growing Season actively practices Eco-dining. The ladies work to ensure that all of their ingredients are fresh and local to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They ensure that their serving sizes are not too much to reduce waste and offer Eco-friendly take-out containers to guests who are willing to take what they can't finish home. The dining area is well lit, mainly with natural light giving off a rustic charmed vibe with a lot of history. The furniture is also locally made by hand and delivered to present the true likeness of Thunder Bay.

Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes

The Growing Season is locally owned by four extraordinary women, Jelena Psenicaik, Sara Boyer, Amy Kelterborn and Meagan O'Shea who share a passion of bringing a bit of what they love, local food, to the people of Thunder Bay.

Their vision to make their restaurant unique is to serve wholesome, healthy dishes to visitors and the local people of Thunder Bay. These ladies present a genuine love for the community.
