Work and travel with US Forest Service rangers to go deep into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Projects include restoring shorelines around campsites, clearing portage trails, maintaining fire grates and latrines, providing visitor education and more. Ideally, volunteers will be able to spend two weeks or more in order to gain the most benefit to the Wilderness. Donate your time to the BWCA Wilderness you love!

Special Skills that May be Required or Helpful
Physical ability to lift 100lbs, carry a canoe over head for up to a mile, work long hours with hard physical labor. Understanding of hand tool use and safety procedures helpful. Volunteers will be trained to USFS standards.
