Rainy Lake Houseboats is located on the Minnesota/Ontario border on historic Rainy Lake. We offer amazing houseboat vacations within Voyageurs National Park - the only inland water-based park in the National Park System. It's where the highways end and the ancient waterways begin.
Renting a Rainy Lake Houseboat enables you to explore Rainy Lake's 220,000 acres of undeveloped shoreline - much like the voyageurs of the past - among clear waters and majestic forests. And, since there are no resorts in Voyageurs National Park, staying on a houseboat allows you to stay immersed in this primitive corner of the world 24 hours a day. You can rise with the sun and have coffee among the pines and then fall asleep to the sound of lapping waves and the calls of the loon. There are no neighbors to bother you and each mooring site is your home until you choose to leave.
There is something here for everyone: You can fish for walleyes, northern pike, smallmouth, black crappies and muskies; gather fresh blueberries for morning pancakes; trek into the wilderness; discover hidden bays and intimate islands; rest on the sun-warmed sands of a secluded cove; take a refreshing swim and fall asleep underneath a million brilliant stars.
We look forward to seeing you on Rainy Lake.

Houseboating has a low impact on nature - the majority of all your activities take place aboard the boat. There is less compacting of the soil, no need for additional amenities like docks and bear lockers and no need for a pit toilet that requires maintaining. And, each of our houseboats has a pollution-free waste holding system ensuring the waters of Rainy Lake remain unchanged for generations to come.
