Municipality of Neebing

NEEBING ... natural... nurturing... the nicest place to live!
Just a short 20 minute drive south of the city of Thunder Bay brings you to Neebing’s doorstep. Once here, you’ll discover idyllic scenery and a pristine country life.  We have the steepest cliffs, the deepest lakes and the most beautiful skies you could ever hope to find.  Clear nights allow us to view the Northern Lights as they dance in all their glorious colours - truly a treat to behold. Our many magnificent settings makes you want to stay and create your own wilderness retreat, be it on an estate-sized inland lot or on a waterfront plan property.

In Neebing, residents enjoy country living, with all the big city amenities relatively nearby.  We are close to Thunder Bay  with its numerous shopping centres, hospitals, airports and restaurants.   A quick trip into the city will provide you with access to  culture and recreational entertainment, but the Municipality of Neebing will sustain you with our warm and open hospitality.

Neebing has many opportunities for recreational activities for both young and old.  Soccer and baseball fields, and ice rinks are all volunteer-based, and welcome all ages. Hiking trails abound for those who want to simply get out and explore the area,or to reap the benefits of healthy exercise.  Wildlife, for both photography and sport hunting, is found throughout our Municipality all year long.  Bear, moose, deer, rabbit and grouse – all are present and plentiful.

Winter or summer fishing is exceptional in Neebing. Boat launches within our area provide  a convenient place to launch set afloat large big or small boats, canoes and  or kayaks.  Our inland lakes provide incredible fishing experiences, as does Lake Superior, which has some of the best salmon and trout fishing action in North America.

Neebing is just another name for relaxation, peace and tranquility.  Look no further; you’ve found your new home!
