Loch Lomond Ski Area

What is the perfect way to spend a winter day? How about skiing snowboarding or tubing at Loch Lomond Ski Area with a visit to Thunder Bay? You are sure to enjoy skiing this popular alpine ski resort in the Nor'Wester mountain range!?

After a long day of riding and enjoying the mountains and fresh air, grab a beer in the bar, play a game of pool, or better yet purchase a locally famous variation of the classic Canadian dish Poutine called Rick's Fries. One order of Rick's Fries comes with gravy, fries, bacon and garnished with green onions. (will re-order much of these sections so it makes sense)

Development at Loch Lomond accelerated exponentially in the last 2 years since the new owners Jason Gerry and Grant Brodeur have taken over hosting a number of major events. In 2015, the ski resort hosted the U-16 Ontario Alpine Championships and in February 2017 will be the venue of the U-16 Canadian Alpine Championships.

Improvements at mountain include several new runs, expansion of existing runs, new chairlifts, updated deck and patio area and a new grativity track for mountain biking during the summer months. By opening the hill to mountain bikers, they can remain open all year long.
