We are located in Northern Minnesota not far from beautiful Lake Vermilion on my Great Grandparents original homestead.
I have loved sharing this farm and my animals with family and friends for the last twenty years. After losing my main street business to fire in June 2013, I decided it was time to take my life (and the farm) in a new direction.
We are a multifaceted facility to match our multifaceted family!
More than a petting zoo, we are an education destination for our whole area, as well as a great location for classes and seminars.
Our goal is to help people connect to each other, animals and the land.
We work with ALL groups including schools, churches, treatment facilities and senior citizens.

We stress the importance of caring for the land and animals. Reducing, recycling, reusing.
If we all just do a little better......
We share the concepts, design and layout of the farm using nature itself to make life possible in this area. Even our 100 year old house has passive solar elements (but in those days I think it was called common sense)!
I love pointing out that we are sitting in the shade today because great grandpa planted these trees for us, a hundred years ago!
This farm has been family owned since 1900 as part of the Homestead Act of 1862!
The "new" business of the farm - Cook's Country Connection, is run by my husband and myself with help from my sister, other family and great friends.
