Canadian Wilderness Walkabouts - Beautiful All-Season Loghome Accommodations

Guests can relax in a private log home hand-built by Karl Bjorkman using the full-scribe Scandinavian method. Logs were selected from red pine trees in the local area. Karl learned how to build with log from his neighbour Joe Meany, a legendary local character. This all-season guest home has all modern amenities including water, hydro, full kitchen, laundry and bathroom.  Nestled in large jackpine, birch and spruce trees, located on the shore of Whiskeyjack Lake at Turtle Falls with a view of the lake and Atikokan River.

Canadian Wilderness Walkabouts takes guests on guided excursions off the beaten path for a true Canadian experience in the boreal forest. We offer everything from short day tours to all-inclusive multi-day tours. Please visit the Wilderness Walkabouts page for more details on adventures available or visit website @
