Boundary Country Trekking's Wilderness Yurts

Boundary Country Trekking operates two wilderness Yurt. The Tall Pines yurt is located on the eastern end of the Banadad Ski Trail on Hooker Lake two miles from the the Gunflint Trail and  32 miles from Grand Marais. Tall Pines is open year round. The Croft Yurt is located along  the Banadad Ski Trail, 19 kilometers from the Tall Pines on Bedew Lake.

Both Yurts are right next to the BWCA Wilderness Area.

For centuries, the people of the Mongolian plateau have found yurts to be comfortable, convivial dwellings. These round, peaked-roofed, canvas-covered huts are warm and cozy. Each comes equipped with a wood-fired stove, dishes and utensils, pots and pans, LP gas stove with oven, prep area, dining area, sleeping bags and bunk beds. An outhouse is nearby. The Tall Pines yurt even has a wood fired Finnish sauna.
