Lodging Style and Amenities

The lodge is French-Canadian design and constructed from white cedar and sits amid a variety of trees including white and red cedar, pines, spruce, birch, maple, and tamarack. There are three guest rooms in the upper level of the lodge - all include a private bath (room 3 also has a heart-shaped spa tub), compact refrigerator, coffee maker and condiments. Continental breakfast is available for lodge guests if they choose. The lodge also has two lounge areas, a large screened porch that looks out on the lake, two Rumford fireplaces made of native stone, a bar that serves a variety of wine and beer, and a small dining menu. All cabins are traditional one-room structures originally built in the 1930's and have been updated to include modern conveniences such as new appliances, comfortable furniture, and are as close to the lake as you can get.

Recreational Opportunities

Recreation opportunities abound for anyone and any age. Guests can either unwind and relax in their cabin, room, or main lodge, unwind by the lake in front of a fire, read, or just take in the view on one of the private docks. A special treat is the comfort and convenience of the lakeside sauna. For outdoor enthusiasts, activities include exploring the miles of trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and up your chances for seeing one of the wildlife treasures on one of the many moose-viewing trails. Birding is popular, as is hunting for wildlife and game birds. The lake the lodge is located on is very large, and it's glacial ridges offer an abundance of fish to catch - though many catch their day's meal right off the dock. It's many bays and inlets offer great places for canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding for all skill levels. Evenings offer the grandest sunsets, and a sky full of stars you just don't see in the cities.
