Interests and Areas of Expertise
I enjoy fishing and wilderness paddling, but my real passion is ice fishing and winter camping. In my work life I am a community planner, helping the region to reach its full potential in the future.
"You can't catch fish unless your line is in the water."
I love to quietly explore the Heart of the Continent via canoe and snowshoe, but don't mind firing up the motorboat or snowmachine if they can get me to a honey hole fishing spot! I like winter explorations as equally much as open water adventures. I'm not one for resorts and motels, tent life is good enough for me. In the winter I use a canvas tent and portable woodstove to keep the cold out. I have over 140 wilderness trips in my journal and I keep coming back for more in the BWCA, Quetico and other quiet spots in the Heart of the Continent. It never disappoints!
