Beaten Path Nordic Trails is an active cross country ski club in the Atikokan/Quetico area. With the help of many members and volunteers, the Beaten Path have developed some of the best cross-country trails in Ontario.
There are trail-heads minutes from town with 50 km of diversified trails that connect the town of Atikokan to Quetico Provincial Park. Quality groomed skate lanes and track-set classic trails provide skiers a variety of opportunities to experience wilderness surroundings on safe challenging trails in any weather conditions.
The club hosts a candlelit ski/snowshoe at Little Falls Community Centre that is a favourite event for the entire community. There is a very active jackrabbit ski school class and a fun family ski race, "The Chocolate Cup Challenge".
Ron Bergin, editor of Cross Country Skier magazine: "this event is worth checking out - for it's uniqueness and challenge, the wild beauty of the region and to experience the Nordic ski enthusiasm and culture of this region"
