Bay Village Coffee

BAY VILLAGE COFFEE is the happy little coffee shop at the gateway to Thunder Bay's historic Bay Street area. The coffee shop is the latest addition to the Bay & Algoma Neighbourhood opening its doors June 14, 2016.

With cheery colours, Latin décor and lots of windows you can’t help but be uplifted by just hanging out or meeting with friends at our friendly coffee house.

Bay Village Coffee’s signature roast is called #59 because that happened to be the number on the testing bag after extensive tasting and cupping with local roastmaster Jamie Nichols of Rose N Crantz. Coincidentally the number 59 has significance to owner Jim Garriock because of his soft spot for Cuba, a country that won its independence in 1959, the same year he was born!

Bay Village is a more than a coffee shop, serving hearty lunch specials including a soup of the day and a great way to start you day for breakfast.

At BAY VILLAGE COFFEE you can come to Refuel & Relax

Eco-Friendly Notes

Our shop is furnished with between 90 to 95 percent recycled or up-cycled. Habitat ReStore was one of our biggest suppliers. You can relax on a super comfortable retro barber’s chair while sitting at the high counter looking out the window to bay street. Even the counter was something else previously. It’s a board room table cut in half – we cut up the board room and make a coffee room!
